Home / Volume (CBM) calculator
Calculate the volume of your cargo.
Enter the dimensions of your packages and we tell you how many cubic metres they are and which container they fit in.
How it is calculated
The formula
Length × width × height, in metres, times the number of packages. The result is cubic metres (m³ or CBM).
Weight counts too
A container fills up by volume or by weight, whichever comes first. Dense cargo, such as tiles or steel, reaches the weight limit with the container half empty.
When it does not fit
If a package is wider or taller than the container door, it travels on an open top or flat rack.
